My walk starts on Friday, 4th June at Minehead, Somerset and I am planning to be in Poole, Dorset on the 18th July by which time I will have walked the South West Coast Path, the UK's longest national trail. I will, of course, be taking time off to watch the occasional World Cup match.
The route covers 630 miles, includes about 100,000 feet of ascent and takes in some of Englands's most beautiful coast. The walk marks my retirement and I'm hoping to raise funds for Cancer Research UK which is the chosen charity of Noble Foods Ltd, my employer for 32 years.
