Day 14. Thursday, 17th June. Porthcothan to Newquay. Weather. Same as yesterday, wall to wall sunshine and getting warmer. An easy day's walk. I was dropped off back at Porthcothan by the landlord on his way to work as a lifeguard. Walked past Bedruthan Steps. Didn't stop as the tide was in. Then on to Mawgan Porth where I'd had several camping holidays. On to Watergate Bay and finally in to Newquay. England's answer to Bondi Beach. Finally arriving at 14.30. A very easy day. Now done 191 miles.
Just watched Mexico beat Arsenal 2 0. Mildly amusing. Made our 1-1 draw with the Yanks look quite respectable.
